soooo about these Movies coming out

As most of the general population does is they go to the movies, whether it be on weekends or a spontaneous idea that one has. The most anticipated movie that most people are raving about nowadays is The Avengers. Now if you aren't familiar with The Avengers here is a brief synopsis of it; it consist of four popular super heros:

  • Ironman
  • Captain America
  • Thor
  • and The Hulk
and they basically save the earth (what else do heros do) and of course you have a villain, in this case it is Loki (Thor's brother). Everyone wants to see The Avengers because i believe it brings generations of society to watch something similar. Kids parents that grew up knowing about The Avengers and now kids of this generation get to see why their parents act like them when they see movies that take them back to their own childhood. I know I am going to see the movie, at least four times.

Da NFL Draft

Last week the National Football League held its annual NFL Draft in Radio City Music Hall; fans and teams eager to see who they would get. Everybody who watches sports or is familiar with football knows of two high profile top picks in the draft:

  • Andrew Luck - a 6'4, 234lbs QB out of Stanford and
  • Robert Griffin III - a 6'2, 223lbs QB out of Baylor
Between these two powerhouse QB's, Luck was getting a lot of attention as far as "who is the better quarterback?" debate. But as the draft drew closer and closer people start to see how good of a player Robert Griffin III or RG3 is. A month before the actual draft, the teams with the first two picks were going back in forth in debating which player would help their team out the best. At the end though, the Indianapolis Colts got Andrew Luck and the Washington Redskins picked up RG3. Hopefully all the hype that was surrounding these two athletes was folly.

Playoffs???

Just recently, the NBA Playoffs started; with all the excitement around this season from the shortened season to the draft and trades throughout the league, this year was bound to be full of surprises. Surprises are right, in Game 1 of the CHI vs. PHI game, reigning MVP Derrick Rose suffered a torn ACL in the left knee in the last minute of the game. Are you serious? Out of all the players that could've gotten hurt it had to be him. Not wishing injury to anyone, but anybody else but him. So now with Derrick Rose done for the remainder of the post-season, the Bulls will have their hands full with the remander of the Playoffs. Chicago and San Antonio are the only two teams this season with 50 wins on a 66-game season (impressive). Chicago won more than half their games without the MVP (even more impressive). Hopefully Chicago can quiet the doubters in Game 2 of the CHI vs PHI series.
